This is a TC texture knit fabric, which is a kind of rough woven wool fabric. Its soft, open and flexible texture is similar to Cheviot wool fabric or homespun fabric. It is usually made of plain weave, twill or herringbone structure. The ever-changing attractive color effect can be obtained by using dyed wool threads.

Originally its name was Tweel because this is a twill woven fabric originated in Scotland. It was traditionally hand dyed by using local natural dyes and hand woven. Tweed has a fairly loose weave, which makes it flexible and comfortable. Tweed is popular for informal outerwear, because it is quite moisture resistant and durable enough to withstand harsh weather conditions. In addition to the more traditional jackets, some luggage and even tennis shoes are made of this fabric.
